One of the most natural pairings is that of roses and wedding days. The elegance and romantic beauty of the blooms is a perfect companion to the formal clothes and emotions of the day.

Unfortunately, many bridal parties are forced to limit the number of roses they have on their “big day” because they don’t have the budget to afford them. This is something that requires a bit of further scrutiny to understand fully, and is the reason that many modern couples are actually handling flowers in a new way.

First, it is interesting to note that wedding planners tell their clients to expect roughly ten to twenty-five percent of the total budget to go to flowers. That could mean thousands of dollars, and yet there might still be some limitations.

Why so expensive? Well, in most cases the sum spent is not going entirely to the acquisition of flowers and vessels to contain them, but is actually being paid to the floral designer, their team, and for delivery and setup.

What does this mean for a bride and groom who want tons of flowers? Generally, it means that a well-organized couple who wants many roses and flowers at their wedding and reception could just as easily purchase the blooms through a wholesale floral supplier and handle the arrangements on their own.

Is this really possible? Actually, the best suppliers will consult with their clients to help them develop a floral schedule. This usually means that the flower delivery will actually occur several days before the event, leaving ample time to create table settings and bouquets simply chock-full of roses of all kinds.

Do wholesale suppliers make more than a few types of roses available? Actually, they can deliver “standard” types which include the familiar long-stem varieties, and they are also able to supply the old-fashioned “garden” roses, the useful and effective “spray” roses, and even cases of rose petals too!
